SEIDEL Elektronik employees have been working on the
development and production of avalanche search equipment
since 1972. Conventional analogue units had always been
further developed over the years and adapted to the
technologies available on the market. Once the available digital
components were actually able to cope with technological
demands, analogue technology was replaced by DSP
technology at SEIDEL. The manufacturer SEIDEL was able to
launch the latest product of the PIEPS development team onto
the market together with their sales partner STUBAI Mountain
Sport in the 2003 season and put their technology lead to the
test with the PIEPS DSP. More than 30 years experience and
well over 100,000 PIEPS units sold are a guarantee of the
safety, reliability and innovation of the PIEPS products.

Seit 1972 beschäftigen sich die Mitarbeiter von SEIDEL
Elektronik mit der Entwicklung und Produktion von
Lawinenverschüttetensuchgeräten. Die klassischen Analoggeräte
wurden über die Jahre immer wieder weiterentwickelt und den
am Markt verfügbaren Technologien angepasst. Erst als die
Verfügbarkeit von digitalen Komponenten den Technologie-
ansprüchen wirklich gerecht werden konnten, wurde auch
im Hause SEIDEL die Ablöse der analogen Technik durch
DSP-Technologie eingeleitet. So konnte mit der Saison 2003
das neueste Produkt des PIEPS-Entwicklungsteams am Markt
einführen und die Technologieführerschaft mit dem PIEPS-DSP
